I've just noticed that all three seasons of Veronica Mars are on sale at JB HiFi for $29.98 each:
(Not sure why they thought it was necessary to use a lingerie shot rather than say, an actual promo shot for the show.)
At the moment they seem to be sold out but you can still add them to your shopping cart so perhaps they're expecting more to be in stock soon?

Hi there, everyone. =] I know this place has been dead for a little while, but for anyone who's still out there, I was wondering if you could help me out with something quickly?
I recently bought the Australian season one DVD of Veronica Mars, and I watched the first episode tonight. Instead of opening with the first scene where Veronica is out the front of the Camelot waiting for Jake Kane (the scene beginning with her voice over "I'm never getting married"), the episode instead starts straight from the opening credits.
So I was wondering ...
- If anyone else here has also bought a copy of the Australian release, is this scene missing on your copy? Or did I just somehow manage to pick a dud?
- For those of you who bought an overseas/American copy (from Amazon, eBay etc) is this scene present on your disc? Or is it also missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. =]

Veronica Mars, Season 1 is going to be released here on box set on the 4th of June, 2008!
Even though most of us have already ordered ours off international e-commerce sites, this will be big in VM fan communities.
Also, tomorrow, in the U.S, it will mark 1 year since Veronica Mars was cancelled off The CW's Summer lineup. I wish that we would have a Season 4. Really. Leaving us watching Veronica walk into the rain was sad, so I found this petition online.
Please sign it, and let's see what we get out of it.

You know the one where V's observing the hotel room, waiting for Jake Kane?
Even though i have Seasons 1 and 2, my memory's a little bit fuzzy and i want to know whether we saw Kristen Bell make a thermos look like the must have accessory of the year? Yeah, that.

The fantabulous Hub Productions Convention co. are putting on an exciting new event in October - the guests?
MICHAEL MUHNEY (aka. Sheriff Don Lamb - Veronica Mars) He is an absolute sweetheart (and hottie) - I met him in L.A last year - he came along to the Browncoat Backup Bash out of the goodness of his heart, and stood out in the rain and chatted to us all, gave hugs, and honestly - spoke to us more than any of the Firefly cast did (much as I love them, don't get me wrong) he was the highlight of my Saturday night in L.A - and I hadn't even *seen* VM yet at that point - imagine how much more I love him now? If you're a VM fan, but not a fan of Lamb (and I understand, I do) please think about coming along anyway - Michael is one of the greatest 'celebs' I've ever met.

Veronica Mars is on the verge of being cancelled in the US and obviously if it gets cancelled there it will be cancelled in Australia too. If you have a spare moment, please write a letter or email to the head of the network in America and tell them how much you love the show. They need to know there are fans in Australia.
And because this is veronica_in_oz, please write a letter to Channel Ten and thank them for airing it. I know it's not the most convenient of times, but it's still on and that's something. If they know how many of us are watching it, they might put it on at a different time and thank you notes are much better than bashful, "put it on an earlier time" letters.
Spread the word and save the show.

Was anyone else highly ammused by Joss Whedon's guest appearance in this weeks episode? I know it's one of his favourite shows, but I've never seen him act. He's such a DORK!!!!
